Bob "Sir Bob-O" Washington
"Knight of the Turntable"

"Hip" Recollecitons of Darby Hicks

"Darby Hicks" is the embodiment of the creative and very "Hip" talents of Bob Washington. Originally concieved as a "Folk", (read now, "Black") counterpart to the ubiquitous "Kilroy" character who appeared with universal appeal among GI's during World War II, "Darby" now has compiled a autobigraphical colleciton of narrative and poetry covering the life and times of his progenitor, the singular Mr. Washington.

This video of "Poetic Recollections" is envisaged as a preliminary effort to complete the "Darby Hicks" media trilogy, (The CD and Book are already available), and serve as but an appetizer for what is hoped will be a more ambitious undertaking to follow. Like Darby says, "There ain't nothin' left to do but swing!"

You can order your own copy of this amazing DVD to accompany the Book and CD companions by sending a check or money order for $10.00 (USD) donation; or more (as your heart leads you), to Bob at the address below to help cover shipping & handling, and material costs.
